Parkrun 151 - Thalia

Good morning and welcome to parkrun 151, which also happens to be the total number of Pokémon in the original set.

It seems to be a bit cold this morning so let’s warm up with a bit of clapping.

Let’s hear it for our volunteers Aimee on stopwatch, Jasmin & Andrew on finish tokens, Julie & Rebekah behind the scanner, Jonathan bringing up the rear and Lucy behind the camera.

Thalia and I have a lot in common. We both like running. We both like food. We both run so we can eat more food. What’s your favourite dessert Thalia? I like all of them. Other loves of Thalia’s include spending time with family at parkrun, chatting with friends during parkrun, jumping for the camera at parkrun and netball. She’s also done many other longer events such as Semaphore Bravehearts, Mothers Day Classic, Meningie Australia day fun run and the Kuitpo trail run. Even more reasons for good food. Her PB is just shy of 25 minutes and if she chats a bit less while running she’ll go even faster. Congratulations Thalia!

You may have seen on our FB page that we are trying to raise $2000 to buy a defibrilator for our parkrun. We hope we’ll never have to use it, but I have heard quite a few parkrun stories which have had a happy ending because of a defibrilator. Please visit the page a donate what you can.
